How is the road noise in a Honda CR-V?

I was skimming a few reviews on the 2004 4WD Honda CR-V over at Edmunds.com and quite a few of the reviews noted that the road noise was terrible. Exactly how terrible is it? Is it bad for each model year? I think I test drove a 2003 CR-V years ago, but the 5 minute drive wasn't long enough for me to notice anything. Is the Toyota Rav4 about the same noise wise?
