Equality....PERIOD

the whole house cook everyday isnt? accepted . Basically why are old man roles carried over to now but women old roles are not. And what up with "LETS GIVE WOMEN OPTIONS IN LIFE BUT MEN GET A OPTION". I mean we dont have much options in life that women have and I never heard someone say lets give men options in life.
Men only option is make enough money to support a family or be single/lonely for long time.

I think we are about to see a shift in attitudes against expected chivalry as well. But right now, the truth is it's generally only perceived as sexist if it happens to women. No one, well few people, question anything that happens to men as being sexist unless it's blatantly obvious. Even then, people generally try to find an excuse for it rather than actually try to get rid of it or even figure out why it happens in the first place.

The traditional female roles are still in force. Women are still expected to do the same amount of housework and child rearing as they were before, only now they have to have full time jobs, too.

Mens' roles have remained pretty much static--work and support the family. For those who say men are expected to pitch in around the house, think about how many times women brag that they have a hubby that changes diapers and grocery shops. All the other women are impressed. But women are just EXPECTED to do those things.
