How is Obamacare substantially different from public education and the public road system?

Both of those examples are public services finances by taxpayer dollars. Yet, I don't hear people frequently argue against the existence of a public school system. Sure, those two are mainly run by states, but that is not a salient feature of the Obamacare debate.
zeros: Who would lose money? The healthcare industry would instantly gain 30 million customers!

scrap: That's semantics. I doubt that most Obama opponents would suddenly support Obamacare if it were a payroll tax of the same amount.

Conservatives just aren't ready for social reform. Nor are they ready to give more people a fair chance and allow them to compete in a level playing field.

Public education and roads are paid by taxes already collected. They don't require you to buy their services with your after tax money.

EDIT: You're right, that would screw me worse than the ACA. I am in the hole where I make too much for Medicaid, but not enough to have extra. So I want the ACA repealed.
