If everyone is employed by the government nothing is considered a handout and income tax will be irrelevant.
 
well, that's the thing -- they weren't. i didn't like the bushes, i did like some of reagan's policies though. but still, i am way too young to fully appreciate or comment on those presidents.
 
Funny that graph doesn't show Obama. Of course that would blow it's "theory" out of the water.

BTW, hopefully someone will show the same sort of graph ... except by who controls CONGRESS ... since they are the ones who write the budgets.
 
at people ignoring the house/senate and blaming/crediting presidents solely for the surplus or deficit on their watch
 
almost none of the republican presidents are true fiscal conservatives, dumbass. you can clearly tell that from the graph.

of course, it's impossible to make sweeping generalizations about republican and democratic presidents. each of those terms had completely different circumstances surrounding them. wars, especially, are a huge factor.
