How is N8 and symbian in the next update & your opinions?

im planning on getting the N8 after long consideration with the Samsung GS. All i hear is that symbian is clunky and slow. But i wouldnt mind that. what are the main improvements in the symbian update. so far i know is the screen flickering between homescreens are faster.

do you think in time symbian^3 will slow be improved and perfected ? reckon Ovi store will start to expand and offer much more applications then at the moment to a similar standard as android/applestore ? ( i read somewhere ovi store only been up for around 1 year). do you think symbian^3 will be improved with regular updates ?? id like to know whatchu guys think. i read nokia/symbian^3 will try their best to provide regular updates to perfect it. anyone can back that up ?
how will they add free RAM ? does it only apply to those who bought the N8 after the release of the next update (Anna) ? if theres RAM upgrade, i really dont want to miss out. Should i buy it now and upgrade when the time comes OR should i wait till the updates are released and preloaded onto the handsets.
Oh another thing. the Anna/Belled updates are done via the automatic update tool within the handset right ? Also when are the release dates of the updates ?

Symbian^1 is clunky and slow. Symbian^3 is a big improvement over it, but still it retains some of the clunkiness. The touch experience is far less fun compared to the Android and IOS. It is mainly because there is no hardware back button, and the back button appear in different parts of the screen in different parts of the interface. The screen itself also looks like it can be used easily with hardware keys. There have been few eye candy improvements, and the interface really looks like the Symbian 60 3rd edition. The slow screen flickering is not really a sign of it being slow. Some widgets are side scrollable, so swipes are registered only after you swipe the screen. The pathetic web browser is also improved. There will also be a portrait qwerty keyboard which Symbian^3 devices lack.

Symbian^3 is not as slow as you think. The processor is not that fast, but the positive is that battery life will be better. Android and IOS has more than a hundred thousand apps each. So far, Ovi Store (or should I say Nokia Store since Nokia has decided to rename it to Nokia Store) has more than 40000 apps. Symbian^3 will receive regular updates as Nokia promised until the end of 2012. Nokia has promised short term dedication to Symbian before they completely shift to Windows 7 OS.

not only nokia phones are durable and perfect but they are handsome looking phone..they are made of aluminium which no phone in the market has got even the iphone 4...and it has the best camera phone in the world and it even beats many cameras...nokia uses far better display that its counterparts in the same price range...and the next update of symbian (Anna) will bring qwerty on-screen keyboard, bugs fixes, vastly improved browser, flicking between the home screens and increased amount of free ram and new user-friendly icons and the next update of Symbian (Belled) will bring a complete change in the UI and i think it will be much more improved than android and ios...and not to forget the main advantage of n8 from other phones is the USB on the go...which n8 can read card reader, pendrives, hard disk drives and it most probably acts like a computer..So you will not regret buying a Nokia N8
