how is my cd player and amp getting power to them, but not turning on?

All fuses have been checked, all wires are correct, and both units are getting power, but niether of them will turn on. The grounds are sturdy. I'm at a loss on this one guys and gals, can anyone shed some light on this?
 
My guess would be your signal cables are not connected to either your CD player or your amp, or it might be your remote line (12 V line; normally little blue wire) is not connected.
