well literature uses symbols to establish connections (usually to the bible or other famous works like from William shakespeare). this gives a deeper level to books beyond the basic story line. usually the numbers 3 and seven are significant (both from the bible) as far as computing or anything like that there might be more specific rules in grammar. conjunctives have to occur in twos: either, or neither, nor.
