how is it possible to have so many mosquito bites when i've barely been outdoors?

for the past 2 days i've probably been outside for a total of a half an hour at night during the peak mosquito hours. how is possible that i now have about 6 bites and i seem to developing more of them as the time goes on. i know it takes awhile for them to develop.

There could be just one mosquito trapped in the house and biting you all night. I know that has happened to me before.
