How ironic is that you see commercials on TV that say...?

"Go against the ordinary and be an individual by purchasing our product!"?

I see it all too often. If you want to stand out from the crowd then you MUST buy this product and be like everyone else!!!!

Does that make sense to anyone? Do you realize that no one is a true individual because everyone is influenced by some kind of crowd?

Oh yes I agree with you. And isn't it funny when commercials claim that the consumer who buys their product is superior to others? As in "discriminating intelligent women buy X." In some cases, maybe X is actually a better product--but for the most part, if you buy X you're just another schmuck who fell for the packaging.
