i just want to ask you guys two questions:

1. how important is anime to you?

2. why is anime important/not so important to you?


to give an example i will answer the questions myself to:

1. how important is anime to you?

anime is very important to me.

2. why is anime important/not so important to you?

this may sound stupid to some people, but the reason i love anime so much is because i have been bullied A LOT throught my life and anime has kinda helped me to get throught the day with a smile.
 
Anime is very important to me, it's pretty much a life interest hobby I have had through out my entire childhood life growing up.

Why is anime important? Well because there is nothing good programming or airing on national television these days. Everything pretty much sucks now MTV, Cartoon Network ect.. Sci-Fi Channel is just about the only thing I can stand left watching.
 
Anime is very important to me. I've been watching anime since I can remember. It's important to me because, well, I really didn't have anyone else to play with except my sisters and we would watch anime whenever we ran out of things to play with and then after every show, we'd like talk about our favourite scenes, characters, quotes, etc. Next thing I know, I can't let a day pass by without reading a even a single manga, or watching at least one episode, or listen to at least one opening or ending song of any anime. It's what motivates me in life, really, besides my family and money, since I always think that if, for example, I fail a subject, then I wouldn't be allowed to watch anime a very, very long time. It also keeps me from thinking of suicidal thoughts because if I die, imagine all the good shows that I would be missing...

well anime is very important to me. well, it depends really lol. but anime is a part of my life now so even if im 40 i'll still watch anime if there are any good ones in the future lol

2. Why is anime important/not so important to you?

anime made me the way i am now. it made me appreciate other cultures and it relaxes me at times

Anime is very important to me because I love it a lot, and it feels like I can just get away from everything and step into a different world. It helps me understand other cultures, and how people act in the real world in certain situations.
 
Anime is where i draw my identity, my purpose, my entertainment, my name, my title, my experience, my views, my love and alllllllllllllllllllllllllllll my hate from.
but what is a true anime fan but that which has a divine appreciation for the materialistic way of "otaku"

1. On a scale from 1 to 10, anime is a 6.
2. Cause it can add to the imagination, the ability to do things normal real ppl can't do.

Anime is very important to me, on a scale of 1-10, I would rate anime at about 7.5 (no matter how important anime is to me, my family and friends will always come first...and my pets)

2. Why is anime important/not so important to you?

Anime is important to me because it is always there when i'm upset, stressed out, frightened. It's always there for me to relax and calm down.. it makes me laugh, cry, feel good about things. Also i'm sure it's the same with many other people, but being able to relate to some of the stories in anime because they have been based on things and events that happen to ordinary people, unlike hollywood movies where good and bad things only happen to people living in America, the rich, the super gorgeous.. hehe I can keep on going but I'll bore anyone who reads this :P
 
Anime is very important to me. It shares the number one hobby spot along with my writing.

As corny as it sounds, it is a part of me, and has been for a long time. It certainly doesn't take over my life because friends and family come first, but I love it to death, all the same. Not to mention, a lot of my friends love anime as well.
 
Anime is important to me because it is a different type of entertainment that I can enjoy. All tv shows today have no feeling or true effort put into them. Anime gives a huge variety of different genres and stories that american shows really just cant compete with.
 
Why it's important: Well my whole life is basically based on anime, manga and all stuff japanese, so I would be bored as hell if anime didn't exist
