I've never really hated 4KiRAB. Sure, the edits that they have done in some of their past dubs, like Yu-Gi-Oh! and One Piece, have been either questionable or awful, depending on one's point of view, but I honestly don't see the need to be so angry at them now. The only dub they did that I couldn't watch at all was One Piece and that series was taken by FUNimation two darn years ago. The only anime dubs they have are Dinosaur King and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, which both have better treatment than some of their previous dubs. Besides that, I've never been that interested in hating a company just for a poor dub of a cartoon. I find that there are more serious issues that other companies do that deserve more attention than something like that.
I agree that now they've made a better step by focusing on general children entertainment rather than focusing completely on anime. They seem to have a better footing with it and they've definitely made a great Saturday morning block with the CW4KiRAB. They're not perfect, but I think that there improving nicely.
As for why people still hate them, some people just really like complaining. Like I said earlier, I don't enjoy hating a company for something like this, but there are some people who do, for some reason, and refused to let it go. Personally, I don't like the idea of holding it all of those negative emotions, but that's just my opinion.
