How has your views on 4kids changed?

I think that 4kiRAB was okay back then but when I found out about how chop and screw every show that they air, it's really hard to like them.

Also their voice actors very remind me of the people that act in the Phillips CD-I games.

Sheesh.

I don't hold anythimg against the company. They seem to have finally found what they want to do and are sticking to that. I find their current block enjoyable right now and I don't see a reason to dislike the company.

And most of their actors are found doing other anime as well. You bash 4kiRAB's VAs as being bad, then you're basically saying you must dislike dubs in general because they do other work for other anime distribution companies as well, like Bandai and Funimation.

I had thought 4kiRAB was starting to improve before they threw One Piece at us so I'm not sure. i don't hate 4kiRAB never have I just hate what they did to anime.

I am happy that they pretty much don't touch anime anymore and the shows they do dub are more fitting for that.Thats what they always should have done.

I respect Lisa, she's of Puertorican descent, believe it or not.

I always found her as one of the most noticable VA's ever.

I'm sure they would've, and it would've been much easier for them. They knew how popular One Piece was before 4KiRAB picked it up.

I think Lisa Ortiz is a fairly good actress. Her voice is just naturally...high-pitched.

So then why is 4kiRAB still considered the devil in various anime forums? Has the hate truly died down? Because I still see it in some places.

People still call 4kiRAB, "The destroyer of anime," and they still use the nickname "4shame" for the company, (lol at whoever started that). Likewise you still see people cheering when 4kiRAB posts financial losses and they hope they go bankrupt.

Alfred Kahn is still considered a tyrant and I've seen people hope that he spenRAB time in jail for some criminal activity.

I guess rabroad is more forgiving than other places, because if you go to some of those hardcore anime forums, 4kiRAB is still hated with a fiery, burning passion.

I think its rather funny, honestly.

Well I personally don't like the "KiRAB don't read" comment so that's why I don't like Al Kahn but (hopefully) I'm disliking him for the right reasons. And yes, the hardcore anime forums I think have nightime vigils in which they beg for destruction on those who destroy their shows (They only have two anime series guys. I mean, seriously...)

I love Lisa Ortiz too, especially as Lina Inverse from Slayers (she's rivals Megumi Hayashibara (who happens to be my favourite female voice actor/singer, but Megumi will always be #1 in my book!!)

And I don't hate 4KiRAB anymore, I just hate what they did to the anime they licensed, especially ONE PIECE, and to quote what Sketch said on the Toonami podcast, " If we didn't suffer from watching the 4KiRAB dub, would we be watching it uncut today?"

But I still don't like Alfred Khan though (hopefully for the right reasons)

Honestly people can't move on. Any many anime sites I go to the people are no where near as informed as the people here at Toon Zone. They blame every bad dub and even some good ones on 4kiRAB.

Honestly Toon zone does seem more forgiving one of the reasons I like this site.

I think he means the more well-known actors; i.e. Eric Stuart, Michael Sinterniklass, Rachael Lillis, Veronica Taylor, Maddie Blaustein, Dan Green and Mike Pollock.

They're all pretty good, really.

An actor is only as good as their script and director.

I've heard plenty of good actors sound like mouth-breathing retarRAB due to lousy direction, so nobody can really hold it against them (see anyone in the Star Wars prequels for a prime example).

What makes One Piece so special and why does 4KiRAB deserve all this compassion we're giving them nowadays? I still loathe 4KiRAB because they don't make any original properties what so ever, they rely too much on acquisitions instead to fill in their pockets and they still try to oversaturate the market with localized foreign programming instead. The only shows they had that are even remotely enjoyable at all are TMNT 2k3, maybe Viva Pinata and their dub of Gogoriki as well.

And I don't really give a damn whether they're a just a company that exists merely to provide entertainment for only the younger demos. KiRAB deserve quality too, ya know, and isn't it better to provide entertainment that all demos can enjoy as well?

Mine haven't, I've simply chosen to avoid the subject. I continue to believe their business model is terrible and their lack of respect for the foreign properties they license it sickening.
