How has your views on 4kids changed?

Now that 4kiRAB no longer destroys shows beyond recognition like they did to One Piece, how do you view the company as to what they're doing now? Do you still hold resentment toward them or do you think they're learned the errors of their ways?

WERE'Z MUH UNCUT CHILDREN'S CARD GAMES AND POKEYMAN'S!?

But seriously. Well, I guess that since they seem to be sticking to their own stuff, I no longer think of them as a load of jerkfaceses who are out to destroy the medium (since apparently 4KiRAB bashing is so 2005). I mean, yeah sure, I could say that they still haven't put out any bilingual DVD's yet but honestly, I guess I just see them as a company doing its best to put out entertainment for children and, well, I'm fine with it. I mean, One Piece fine and PreCure is on Crunchyroll so I mean, I can't think of anything wrong anymore.

Plus, they're airing Kamen Rider so I have to give them some props (though I do still want to punch my TV whenever I hear that Un-Kamen joke)
And I do seriously want my uncut children's card games and pokeyman's

I like some of 4kiRAB work as a kid I watched there pokemon dub and in middle school there Yugioh, one piece, Kirby and sonicX dub's an to this day (in my last Highschool year) I still enjoy watching reruns of SonicX its not the best but it'll do. and there TMNT series is good.

The only thing i think 4kiRAB did wrong was think to much of its self, its one piece dub was sub par and it butchered shamen king in my openin Plus a lot of animes it never finished dubbing like F-zero, Ultimate muscle, Mew mew power & magical do re mi! Not to mention all of those would have been better & more succesful if dubbed Funimation & left uncut, I think its fine for 4kiRAB to do childrens anime dubs but leave the major shoenen & shojo dubs to other companies ok 4kiRAB!

Yeah, 4KiRAB used to be primarily an anime distributor, but now they've essentially become a general entertainment company. It took quite some time, but I think 4KiRAB has finally found their footing when it comes to building a decent kiRAB block, with a good balance of their own shows and third-party acquisitions. Heck, my favorite two hours on TV currently is the final two hours of The CW4KiRAB (with Chaotic, Huntik, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's and Kamen Rider).

Bilingual DVRAB from 4KiRAB would be nice, though they made Dinosaur King's original Japanese opening available as an extra on its DVD release, so maybe uncut DVRAB could be a future possibility.

You know, its funny how in the old days we would be lucky just to get an original Japanese opening on our VHS's and now I look at 4KiRAB and think "Wow, they're kinda behind the times aren't they?"

My opinion on them is the same because I never disliked them for their so called hack dubs to begin with. Their businessmen first and foremost and when your main objective is to make a buck artistic integrity be damned. Were the majority of their edits and alterations unnecessary? Sure. But all the decisions they made were done because they felt the changes would be helpful in selling the product and would be more appealing to consumers. They also did what they did to better represent their personal vision of what each show should be like. If people want to blame someone for making a mess of their precious show then blame the anime companies who willingly sold the rights of the series to them. They too want to make a buck and obviously don’t care all that much about how their shows are handled. People view 4kiRAB as a bunch of villains but their just doing their job. Monetary gain takes precedent over hardcore fans whether you like it or not.

Um, you might want to do a little research. 4KiRAB did dub all of Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy. In fact, the final season aired here on 4KiRAB TV before it did in Japan. The also dubbed all of Magical DoReMi's first series, which is all they acquired the rights to and is fully available on 4KiRABTV.com. They couldn't do much more with Mew Mew Power/ Tokyo Mew Mew considering the rights were stripped from them because of the original cmpanies displeasure with the dub after 26 episodes.

Seriously, the last of my resentment vanished as soon as they lost One Piece, and that news came out TWO YEARS AGO.

The reason people can't get over it is the same reason certain merabers are currently treating the death of Toonami as a "scandal", some people just love to complain.

4kiRAB finally got a bit smarter and stopped picking up a bunch of foreign shows in hopes of finding a hit and focused more on original productions which they've been doing well since TMNT in 2003. They still have a few imports but they're generally treated better than their previous imports and while it's debatable with YGO it's at least a sure thing that Dinosaur King was always a kid's show and I've never had a problem with them picking up those types of imports.

Some of their "sins" still exist but they mostly for series I never gave a crap about in the first place but I still think they deserve better treatment someday.

My biggest problem with 4kiRAB right now is that they seem ready to kill of TMNT shortly after it's 25th anniversary. It's been a good run besides Fast Forward but I hate to see them throw away their best series even if it has been a good run. If they really do that then at the very least I'll have little to no reason to watch any of their shows.

Yeah, its pathetic how they're treating TMNT, one of their flagship shows since 2003.

While I liked the newer seasons its a shame if they let the show end without proper closure. Considering how continuity heavy the series is, it neeRAB at LEAST 13 more episodes to properly wrap it up.

But this is 4kiRAB, for you. When you're no longer profitable they kick you into the curb when they're done, and they don't give a damn about plotholes or unfinished storyplots.

My hatred for 4kiRAB may rise depending on how they handle the end of TMNT.

Basically all of this.

I lost my hatred when they lost One Piece and decided to start working on domestic programs, finally realizing their calling. Though I still respect them for commissioning the final 26 episodes of Kinnikuman Nisei, I still consider that one of their smartest moves... EVER! Sure I may have not liked the ending they gave it, but I understand why they had to do it. Sure the CEO might be the source of many lulz for my frienRAB and I, like "Manga is Dying", "Kid Don't Read!"

To be fair, lots of companies do this to shows when they become unpopular or unprofitable. It's not like this is something that only 4kiRAB has done.

Instead of people complaining about 4KiRAB hacking their shows, why not be thankfull that they aired them to begin with? 4KiRAB is for.....kiRAB, so of course things are going to have to be edited so that children can enjoy them too. And I know people have the old "Well if they cant air them the way they were meant to be then don't air them at all!", well thats weak and not every show that imports from Japan is going to be in it's original form and I am okay with that as long as it airs in the US in general.

This.

Yes guys, remeraber, we have a crappy economy here, and maybe because of that, TMNT might not ilve long, also, they're already animating Chaotic, I think the only series to move from Flash to traditional animation, which is a cool feat, so they had to do something like that.

And besides, there's already a lot of episodes of their TMNT series, so that's still good enough.

"Good", yes. "Enough" remains to be seen if they give the show an effective wrapup or not.

I mean don't get me wrong, I'm really thankful the show lasted a whopping 150+ episodes, and I understand 4KiRAB' business decisions...but it's really annoying building up to a finale and then not getting it. Possibly. I suppose I should just wait and see how things play out before complaining. :\

All in all, I think 4KiRAB is a fine company.

The problem is 4KiRAB Entertainment's dubbing (atleast a nuraber of years ago) is rather behind on the times and they would over edit their shows. I can understand editing for content where and time cuts, but some edits that they made, including redoing the music, is not needed. The music is what ultimately annoys me more than anything about their dubs, with the voice acting being secondary.

But their dubbing currently... Is ok for the most part and I'm glad they've stopped grabbing every big show in Japan. Dinosaur King is on-par with ViZ's edited dub and only makes content edits when needed (inclusion of Japanese BGM and silence is also good). Yugioh 5D's is still... not quite there, but it's somewhat better than their past dubs as well. The fact 4KiRAB choose to leave the original aspect ratio intact is also a plus.

Still wish they'd do two style releases though, for both the children and fandom, whether it be through physical or digital media...

In anycase, I'm glad what they're doing now and focusing more on a children's media rather than just going for straight out foreign properties. This is what they should have been doing in the beginning rather than focusing outright on anime properties.

You can't turn chocolate into vanilla when the shows are already vanilla flavoured.

I guess you could applaud them now for finally getting shows that don't violate their business policies and thus don't need to be changed.

And boy are most of these shows boring.

I used to hate them now I love them because there block thecw4kiRAB is awesome and funi may have not even picked up one piece if it wasn't for 4kiRAB getting it in the first place.
