Sport bikes usually are not reccomended for a first bike. The 250R's are good sport bike beginner bikes though, I beleive even the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Course makes you either learn on those or Honda Rebels. Its not hard to learn to ride a motorcycle, IMO.
