I'm thinking of joining the british army but I'm worried that it might have an adverse effect on my relationship with my boyfriend. We've been together for 7 years (since we were 12) and I love him more than anything. But there will be long periods of seperation and that would put strain on the relationship and I really don't wanna lose him. He says he'll support whatever decision I make.
How hard is it to maintain a relationship whilst serving in the military?
