Before you waste your money on replacing it, why not first try to CLEAN IT???? While you are at it, clean the idle air control vavle, throttle body, and PCV valve and hose. Run the cleaners through an intake vacuum. You will smile when you see how much smoother your engine runs afterwards. Use Gum-out spray or AMSOIL foaming cleaner, if you can find it. Find a library that carries the ALLDATA data base. It will show you how to change it, if you really need to, and give you more details. Use only a genuine Mazda replacement part!!! The usual reason for the TPS to become faulty is the presence of engine sludge from oil vapors. If you use a good synthetic oil, this problem will not occur, normally.
 
You will need the procedure to set it correctly. Make sure you have a good mechanic diagnose the concern to verify you need the sensor. Reading a code does not mean just go ahead and replace it.
