How good is Verizon wireless?

Hello,

I am a Sprint user. I am going to ride out my two year contract until next April. I doubt the deposit of At&T lower under $500 so I might try Verizon.

Probably before next year, I might move to Philly. How good is coverage in Philly. When I went to a Verizon store then ran a credit check and it back at $400 and before that I ran one and it came back at $125. Why are there saying two different amounts of a deposit?

How are the plans? Better than Sprint? I understand Verizon is #2 largest network and Sprint is #3?

As for the phone I'm loving it and we haven't dealt with dropped calls. However with that being stated you can't travel throughout all of Missouri without getting no reception. So you do have to watch when you travel. I find this funny since the verizon wireless (for internet) works in the locations my phone doesn't.

I haven't been to Philly so I don't know about there. I have had quite a few dropped calls but I think this is my phone's fault more than Verizon because my other family members on the same plan don't seem to have this problem.

i think verizon over all has the best coverage, there may be a few areas across the country where the service is weak, so you always have to check your area for who rules the air waves.

Verizon's coverage used to be spotty (12-18months ago) but now I get it coast to coast, even on Camp Pendleton in CA, which was notoriously tought to get a cell phone signal on.
