How good is the Raleigh brand in Bikes? I am considering Raleigh Detour

Deluxe Bike - 2009.? I am looking for a road bike and like the looks of the Raleigh in subject line but have never seen it in store. It is available online at REI. How good is the Raleigh brand in general (comparing to Trek or other brands in similar price range). Obviously I am not looking for a Ferrari in a bike but is this a good buy in it's price range? Any experiences with Raleigh brand? Is this bike for both genders?
 
You will have to go to a bike shop to get that bike. Go the to dearler locator to find a shop near you. They are good quality bikes.
