How frequently a person should have sex to stay healthy?

i am working in middle east far away (3000 miles) from my native place. I get only a month's leave a year to go back home. My wife and son are in my native place as my wife is working there and my son is doing schooling.

I get to have sex with my wife only once in a year for a month. Does a man who is 44 will lose his vigor and vitality if he does not have sex regularly? I do masturbate thrice or four times a week.

Please advise.
 
You don't have to have sex at all to stay healthy. If you have too much of it, it can make you tired. Anyway you are having sex regularly; only that sometimes it's with your wife and sometimes by yourself.
