...Sunfire? I was rear ended by a Dodge Dakota in my Pontiac Sunfire. The back end was crushed so far that it pushed the back seat forward a few inches. the driver is saying he was going 40 mph, I had just pulled out of a parking lot and was up to about 20 mph when it hit me. The driver who hit me is a volunteer firefighter from that area so the police are taking his side in this. This 19 year old kid could have killed my 10 yr old daughter who was in the back seat. Since when is the person who rear ends you, not supposed to be driving defensively and have control of his vehicle? He pushed over us across a lane of traffic off of the road and then he ran over the median and skidded across 2 lanes of oncoming traffic before coming to a stop. Luckily no one was seriously injured. Does that sound like a vehicle going 40 mph?
I meant to say he pushed us across a lane of traffic and off the road.

40 mph is accurate, I too had a sunfire, and was just completely crushed by a dakota quad cab, my whole passengers/front was destroyed, the wheel was flat with the groung, hood was bent, radiator was bent/broke, passenger door was jammed in place, blew all my tires out....The driver said he was going 40.

Small cars are no match for a truck, of any size.
