How far should i be hitting a 7 iron with a 96-100mph swing?

I hit my 7 iron about 225, my wife hits hers about190 So for a 14 year old girl u should b hitting about 170, if not then you should quit playing and go back to knitting.

For one, Tiger Woods doesn't even have a 100 mph swing speed with a 7 iron.

If you would have said 100mph swing with a driver (longer club meaning more speed) I might believe you, but considering you're age and height I really doubt you swing a driver that fast...and if you do swing that hard with a driver, there is absolutely no reason for it. You would have no control over your swing.

I learned a golf tip a long time ago and I've learned a lot from it. It's not how far, it's how many.

What distance do you need to carry? What club willl make it easiest? The number on the club is only a reference. Hit the club that will get it there and don't worry about what's on the sole. Ben Hogan hit his 7-iron 135 yards. Tour pros today hit it about 175. The answer by Rip is unbelievable. I don't say he is lying, but I don't believe it.

This is really an unanswerable question. It all depends on a number of factors that you haven't even considered. Are you hitting it flush, what is the flex of your shaft, on and on and on. I can hit a seven iron about 170-175 yards. I have no idea what my swing speed is I'm six foot and 195 lbs. The pros probably hit it anywhere from 170 to 210 yards depending on which pro is hitting. The question you should be asking is when hitting a seven iron how close to the pin can you hit it. Distance means nothing without accuracy. There are no trophies for distance!
