how far can i go into the airport with out a ticket?

my brother is leaving to fort benning ga tomorrow and i want to say goodbye and watch his plane leave, my mom me i cant go that far, but he is leaving for the army, if i cant get in will they make an exception because he is going to serve in the military?
 
General rule of thumb with most airports worldwide... if it's an international departure, you won't be let passed Immigration without a valid Passport and Airline Ticket. If it's a domestic flight, you can pass through Security into the Departure Lounge area in a lot of airports worldwide, but not all. Some airports though, won't let anyone but passengers passed Security into the Departure Lounge area.

You can't go through security without a ticket. They won't make an exception for you either, sorry. You can say goodbye up until that point.
