Basicly I'm desprate for a new phone, I took an 18 month contract out in September 2008, which has now broke ( canceled the insurance a month or too ago ) some people have said you can update 3 months early, but I've heard you carn't on T-Mobile?

Thanks if you can help!
This is also my 4th contract on T-mobile, my dads been with them for 8 years on contract and my brother e.c.t all through the same acount if that helps?

If you are all on the same plan, and one of the other phones is eligible for upgrade at this time, you could "use" that upgrade to upgrade your phone, then they could use your upgrade to replace theirs in a few months if they wish.

If that is not an option, give T-Mobile a call, explain the situation, and they may allow you to pay a "partial" Early Termination Fee to get the upgrade early. If you only have about 3 months left before upgrade eligibility, that ETF might only be around $25 or so.
