How does Toyota build their cars to be that strong?

its obvious you haven't been watching the news. After 2007 toyota started building lemons by the millions. I wouldn't waist my money on any one of their cars now. I traded in My 2 Camry's Last year. Before that I owned Hyundais and they were stronger cars if you ask me. Now I have Nissan Maximas. I think I will go Back to American made Now because the quality is about the same now.
 
Fords f- series pickups are the best cars ever made....i no and f-250 has about 340,00 miles on it...only one issue...needs shocks....which is a MINOR fix....toyotas are a mess...go with Ford
 
It depends upon several variables. Is the vehicle driven in salt, do you store it in the garage, how many miles are on the vehicle or was the vehicle ever waxed? I have seen 7 year old/low mileage Toyota's that looked like the were ready for the salvage yard.
 
I love Toyotas, but I have also owned GM cars and trucks which lasted just as long. My GMC pickup with 350 V8 ran 190000 miles before we sold it, and was still going strong.

It's just as much how you maintain the vehicle as it is the brand name.
