How does the (UK) sizing of Freya Kickers/Thongs work?

I'm a curvy girl (37-23-38) and I can't for the life of me work out which size kickers to buy with my Freya bra.
The sizes come in XS, S, M, L and XL.
I generally wear a size 10 as I have a rounded bottom instead of just wide hips and knickers tend to be a little more forgiving in the seat but according to my measurements I should be a 12 or even a 14 in some places.
I don't even know how sizes would convert from letters to numbers to be honest as it seems so variable and I can't find a chart anywhere online.
Can anyone tell me what size they wear in Freya underwear and their normal kicker size?
 
a size 12 and 14 is an M so I thing you're an M

even if you're a size 10, M should be fine.

but size 8 is an S, you know, like S-small, M-medium, L-large, XL-extra large)

bigger then 14 is an L
