How does the Toyota tacoma compare to the Chevy z71 1500?

which one does consumer reports find the best?
SteveO. your answer was groovy man. I have always owned z71 too. I am 3rd generation GM family, yet everyone is swearing I should buy a tacoma. Thanks for the reality check.
 
It doesn't, I have had Z71's for years, and hae never had a problem with any of them. I have had 6 over the past 15 years. I get a new one about every 3 years. The only thing I have ever had to do to them was replace tires at about 60,000 miles, and change the oil. There are 2 people that I work with who have fairly new Yacoma's and they have had nothing but troubble. Those trucks have a lot of issues stay away. I know that Toyota has a great reputation, but stay away from the trucks. Chevy is the best truck out there, second to Ford F-150. The new Z71's are 0% interest for 60months right now too.
