You have two or three problems and a few advantages:
Cons
1) wheel base is 58.1 inches so your not going to turn with as low of effort as them...period
2) You have fairly relaxed ergos and longer trail which is great for stability but bad for turning quickly
Pros
1) you have what was GP technology brakes less than 5 years ago
2) you can crush them with torque, go with the 14T up front and really pull them coming out of corners. What they have in flickability, you can make up with corner exit.
Your problems are simple: 14T front sprocket, Ohlins adjustable damper, setup the chassis to work better, lighter wheels. The only expensive piece for you is going to be the wheels. There is a lot of chassis setup and you are nearly like a 1098 so read those thread. Rumored to have .5" longer swingarm and 32mm offset triples which many of us 1098/1198/848 guys would love so we didn't have to buy the 30mm triples. My buddy have a SF and he said the stock damper is a POS and he has the S model.
