How does the Sharia law dominates the modern Islamic societies?

well for a start civilized western societies do not stone 13 year old rape victims to death in very public exhibitions.

A 13 year old girl was stoned to death in Somalia after she claimed she had been raped by 4 men in a repeated and brutal attack.

SHE was found guilty of adultery (at 13?) and publicly executed by being stoned to death in front of 1000 people in a sports stadium.

Islam allows such things.
