Hey all! I’m writing because I am a little confused about how the remote started works for my 2009 Rav4.
When I turn it in from my kitchen, the engine starts, but as soon as I go to open the door, it shuts off the engine. I read that this is normal, but on my sisters Ford Edge, the remote starter turns the car on and it does not turn off the engine until she gets in and steps on the break.
I’d rather it if my engine would stay on and turn off when I step on the break rather then turning off
… any recommendations?
