I'm really interested in the Motorola Defy at the moment, I could probably get by without a 'tough' phone but it's in the right price range and my tech does usually get knocked around a bit and covered in scratches so it's a nice plus point but it's not the be all and end all.
The main thing I'm trying to find out is if you take away the tough phone features how the Defy compares to a regular phone for a similar price like the HTC Legend (another one that's caught my eye).
I know the Legend has Android 2.2 whereas the Defy has 2.1 but I have no idea how much difference that makes. Other than that I've no idea which is better, they both seem to get good reviews. I'll be using it for media, apps, the camera and web browsing and I don't get a new phone that often so I'd appreciate it if it didn't go out of date quickly.
