" I think most Indian men avoid black women for 2 main reasons.
1) Usually immigrant Indian parents want their Indian children to marry other Indians, they always tell their children that marrying other Indians is the most sensible thing to do to be respected and successful. Some parents go as far as threatening disowning their kids if they marry a non-indian person.
2) the mass media (aka conservative white media) usually portrays black women in negative stereotypes all over tv, magazines, movies, music, etc...that affects the perspectives of Indian men. There are rarely black women + Indian men couples in the media, so people feel such a relationship is taboo. "
MY QUESTION IS ABOUT REASON NUMBER 2.... i dont think black women are shown in bad light in the media. if anything, whites are trying to convince people that black women can look good... i think the main reason why indian and chinese, and mexican men dislike black women is because they find them unattractive, not because of the media...
