How does the Kicker brand car subwoofers compare to the Alpine?

I'm looking at a new subwoofer and I've heard the brand Kicker is a pretty good brand. How does their model 10CVR122 12" Sub compare with a Alpine 12" Type R?
 
loud more of sound pressure, then sound quality. Not every decent for a quality sound woofer. Go with Type R if you like sound quality, also the newer type R ones has more power then a CVR. One of my friend told me the new Type R can blow the crap out of a L5. I don't know, so couldn't tell you. But, I like the type over Kicker.
