How does having a band in college work out for you people? Anybody with personal experience?
I'm going into my first year of college next year, but I also am in a rock band, and want to go tour n stuff with that band in the future.
But right now I'm going into a college by myself without my band. I assume that means that I'm gonna want to be in a different band with other students I meet there, but idk how that all is.
I know some may say just not to go to college if you're just gonna do rock music, because you don't need a degree or whatever to do that.
But I want to do other things later in life, and I just want to have a general education background no matter what I do.
So anyways my question really is about how do college bands work? do you ever have time to practice, to write, to record? Do colleges that allow bands promote them a lot, or do they just not care or does it totally depend on the college?
