how does facebok chat work?

It is like Messenger or AIM.
It's an instant messaging tool that lets you talk to your friends without the hassle of sending messages.
you click the chat link,
find the friend you want to talk to,
and it will open a tab right next the the chat link.
you can send messages on that link and be able to see your guys' conversation.
