How does an exothermic reaction change the entropy of the reaction's surroundings?

Ive checked my textbook and have had no luck. hopefully you guys could help?
 
well an exothermic reaction releases heat or energy to its surroundings and an increase in heat causes and increase in entropy (randomness) so the entropy of the surroundings increases.
