I took mine in Kansas. From what I can remember I walked in, stood in line, went up to the desk, they tested my vision and told me to go to the other desk to get the test. Someone gave me the test and a pen. The test ranged from questions like "When you see a big red sign that says STOP, what should you do?" to "If there are two trains going opposite directions, one going 35 mph, the other going 40, and they're being driven by evil aliens who frequently travel through time, how long will it take before the trains hit 33.27 times and how many times will they have leaped through time and how many of the aliens if any will survive the crash?"
Most of the questions were like the first one though. There really were a couple ridiculous questions like that second one though, I'm not kidding.
Once I finished the test I handed it in, someone scored it real quick and told me I passed, so they took my picture and gave me my temporary paper license to use until my real card one came in the mail.
Yay.
Oh, before I took the paper test I did a driver's ed thing for a week. Easy. Just drove around a couple times, watch videos and took tests based on them. Easy as hell. Anyone in this country can get a license for 10 bucks, and we wonder why so many people drive so shitty.
