When water, oxygen, light, and heat is added to a seed which has been planted in soil, it will grow. This is called germination.
The seed, once buried in soil, will begin the process. Basically, with the sun's energy, water, heat, and air, the seed will crack open, and a plant will sprout. It will then grow until it reaches the surface of the soil, and sprout out.
