How do you write a polynomial function of 3i, 2-i?

This is for 10th grade Algebra 2. Please help me on how to do this problem, please explain all the steps you took. According to the back of my book the answer is f(x) = x^4 - 4x^3 + 14x^2 - 36x + 45. Thanks!!!
The answer is f(x) = x^4 - 4x^3 + 14x^2 - 36x + 45.
