How do you wire strobes to your car battery?

I know you have to go through the firewall. But actually connecting it to the battery... how do you do it? And what is an in-line fuse, why is it important, how do I install it, where does it go?

Trying to get started on doing some fun electrical stuff. I'd appreciate any help/information/websites.. anything really

im not to sure but i think you just need to earth 1 wire, and put the other wire onto the Pos battary side.
and a In-line fuse is a fuse on the wire like this
wire----------[Fuse] ------wire------- [battery]
and its there so if theres to much power going from the battery to your strobe it will blow the Fuse and keep the strobe safe instead of fuking it up.
