How do you watch your movies?

I've read this thread a couple of times now...

and have just looked out of the window to see if there is a full-moon tonight. Unfortunately it's not dark enough to see.

Maybe you'd like to give the explanation another crack ...I'm intrigued.
 
I could be wrong, but I think he means that 1) he skips the credits for starters, and 2) if, after watching the film for some length of time he thinks he can guess the ending, he stops watching at that point.

R2W - if you stop watching when you think you know the ending, how do you know if you're right? The film could turn out to be completely different to what you thought it was. Take The Usual Suspects and The Sixth Sense for example. At what point did you stop watching those?
 
When i stop watching the movie is because i know what is going to happen because i go to "movie spoilers" websites to look up the ending of the film.

The reason why i skip the credits at the beginning is cause i am not intrested in the credits. :)

You go to spoiler sites to know the ending then turn off when you know the ending?

What about the enjoyment of surprise? and if there is a twist, the excitment of watching the whole film again knowing what you know

I really don't mean this horribly but I can't relate to that at all - I think you are missing out :)

I basically just watch the movie throughout even the credits if I don't know who else is in it apart from the main actors. Occasionally I watch the credits and find out some actor is in it and I didn't even know so that is why I find it useful to watch the credits at start. If I already know the spoilers of the movie then even then I watch the movie to find out how it happens on film. Reading the spoiler is just not the same as watching it happen on screen.
 
I always watch every film all the way through, even if it is rubbish just to know what happens - although it helps that my DVD players lets you watch at 1.5 speed with sound so I can rush through if needed!
 
I watch from start to finish too. The opening credits help set the scene of the film, and I'd always want to actually see the ending rather than rely on a third party to tell me what happened.

Actually I think my DVD viewing habits are quite eccentric too. I watch the film in its entirety, accompanied by snacks and drinks etc. Then I watch the extra bits. Then I watch the commentaries. Most of them are pretty boring but I usually listen to them all, which can get annoying when there is more than one. Then I might watch it finally with the subtitles on cos I often find I can't quite understand what people are saying and I like to hear every word.

sometimes if ive seen a movie so many times and im sleepy in the afternoon, is great to shut my eyes and listen to the movie.

other times it's just feet up with a big bag of twiglets!!1
 
What happens if the credits are playing over an important story bit eh?

Ready2watch is probably the sort of person who rushes out the cinema anticipating the end credits are about to come on (quick quick!) even if it's a Pixar movie and the outakes are worth staying for.

Well, life is short I suppose ;)
