I've been a veg off and on for about 15 years and I'm bored with eating cooked veg food. I've been to two vegetarian restaurants in the last two weeks and both restaurants seemed to be so caught up with making the veggie substitute food look like meat that there were few or no vegetables served with my entrees or appetizers! Isn't a vegetarian diet supposed to be plant-based?
Also because vegetarianism is growing in popularity there are a lot of delish "fake meat" foods available and I don't want to stop eating them altogether but I want to eat more raw, fresh fruit and vegetables, not just fried bananas or breaded tempeh with candied walnuts or sauteed veggies dripping with sauce and diced between tofu.
This may seem like a stupid question but to any of you raw foodists out there that used to eat a primarily cooked vegetarian diet, how did you transition to raw or live foods and how do you feel now that you've done it?
