How do you transfer game save data from one Xbox 360 to another?

I have seen the question asked if this is possible and the only answers were "yes you can", unfortunately that doesn't help me. I purchased a 360 memory card and saved my game file for Culdcept Saga from my boyfriends xbox onto the memory card. Later when I tried to move the data from the memory card onto my xbox it says that "the item is not transferable between profiles". Someone please help me with this and let me know if there is any way to copy or move this data from the memory card to my xbox. Or am I just going to have to start a whole new game on my xbox?
 
You can only do it if your transferring from the same xbox profile. It's a precaution so you don't steal/use/borrow anyones gamesaves to earn achievements/win competitions etc.
