how do you totally delete your internet history?

Like websites, documents etc displayed both in the mozilla firefox browser?
I can delete the history, but there is a way to back it up and I want to delete it completley as I am giving my pc to a friend.

Ctrl + Shift + Delete
Select all
Click Delete


or

right click on the top of internet page
select menu toolbar
then click tools
delete browsing history
select them all then click delete
 
What you should do is Google the service provider (Dell,Apple) and call their number and ask how to wipe the hard drive.After the hard drive is wiped,the only things that should be on their are the (Paint,Narrator).

Which will allow your buddy to add whatever he wants without the worry of coming across any undeleted files.
