How do you think the networks could persuade the audience that cartoons are cool?

Ah, would any of the middle-aged fellas have grown up on Scooby Doo and Disney's dark ages perchance? :)

I'm not entirely sure what age group this topic is talking about. Adults who let peer pressure dictate their viewing habits...

...and, apparently, still live with their parents. These "adults" must be in their early twenties at the eldest.
 
There's no point in trying. Cartoons will only be able to entertain people for ages, and that's that. The fan may appreciate the cartoon as an artform (as I do) but should'nt expect the average joe to think the same.
 
In this case, "middle age to elderly" = being between their early 40s (at youngest) to mid-60s (at oldest); the younger coworkers probably grew up on Scooby (or other 60s/70s fare), while the oldest ones probably didn't *have* television for most or all of their childhoods (though guessing they would've still seen cartoons at the theater)...
