When i m older i wanna be a wedding photographer ... i was looking into photojournalism but i went against it . Even though i m young i wanna decide what my goal is in life . I want to go to Hartford University in Connecticut it is a very popular school from what i heard . I know that i could probaly work for a wedding planner but what if i cant find a job ... i want a very small bisiness what are some tools that i would need . Do u have any tips .

Get the photographic knowledge at college, the equipment you need will be obvious to you then.

Talking of knowledge, don't forget the business side of things, boring I know, but more photographers go bankrupt from lack of business acumen than do because they are bad photographers.

If you can work as a 'gopher' for a good wedding photographer at weekends and during holidays, it will teach you more in a few weeks than a whole university course will. It may even put you off the whole idea. There's much more to it than meets the eye.

Experience, a bit of talent and business acumen will get you far in the wedding business. I think it is a great idea that you are going to college...it is always good to have a back-up to your photography aspirations.
