I'm trying to put together an html code with a scroll bar to message people on a forum, and whenever I put the code in the scroll bar, it just shows what the picture from the html code. I tried "<textarea> html text goes here </textarea>" but it doesn't work,and neither "<pre> html text goes here </pre>." Please tell me what kind of code that work's, that will show people an html code text, but it only will show whatever the html code is when I send a message with it in a scroll bar, or a forum post. 
Please help, and be absolutely 100% certain what I do when this transpires!
