how do you save something on a jump drive or flash drive project due...

...2morow(how do you use it to save) =)? i have a project to do about panama & i want to save it on a flash or jump drive and i dont know how to save it at all help it's due 2morow i know how to pull it up steps please S.O.S
 
Whats it on now? Is it a word or power point document? Whatever, just plug your flash in to a USB port. Click on the icon in the upper lt or on File in the menu & select "save as..." Select your choice & waite for prompt.
 
There are two ways.

One is in your application. Just go to "save as" and save it to the jump drive (It's probably 'E' or 'F').

The other way is to go to "my computer" and search for your file. When you find it, go back to "my computer" in a different window and open the flash drive. Drag the file.

The first one is really easier.
 
when you plug the jump drive in your computer, you should be able to see it as a removable drive. Once you figure that out, copy your file onto that removable drive and you are done.
Also before you pull the jump drive out, right click on it and select eject to remove it safely.
 
Once you insert the drive into the USB port, you will be able to see the file for that drive by going to

"My Computer"

It will be listed as a removable drive, possibly as Drive E or F. Mine personally appears as J.

You can either open the folder to that drive and drag and drop the file onto it (file must be closed to do this) or you can open the file and click "save as" select the file type (Word, excel, etc) then select the location as the Jump drive (E,F, J etc.)
