To me they respond by thumbs down, they use loopholes in the bible to bypass that bit and justify laying judgement on other people with them.

This is a Biblical quote.
Judgement in the Bible as to the ultimate decision for men is Gods. It belongs to him and not other.
Other sorts of judgement are very important to humanity. And in fact the Bible concerning other sorts of Judgement tells us to use it as a tool to put judgement into practise.
That's why when people start with the judgement thing without understanding what Christian judgement is it's bliddy annoying. CRAZY PEOPLE WHO NEED A SLAP IN THE CHOPS WITH WET KIPPER.

When you are wise and use discernment, seeing clearly the difference between right and wrong, some people like to blame you for shining a light and claim you are "judging" when all you are doing is telling it like it is. It's a defense mechanism trying to turn the tide, like using "phobic" when there is no fear at all.

Take a good long look at both and every side of the "story". Then you have to make the decision based on that.
