I am trying to replace the ignition coil but I have to remove the rotor to get it out. I can't figure out how it is removed properly. There was a dust cover, but I broke it trying to remove the rotor. Removing the dust cover I encountered the same problem being that the rotor was in the way and I cant find a way to remove it.
the rotor is not just sliding off and from all that ive looked up it says that it is supposed to unscrew from somewhere. there is no screw retaining the rotor at the spline from the distributor and there is no screw on the top of the rotor that if removed would allow it to slide off. I have a little play to work with on the rotor. it rotates about 3-5 degrees in either direction. im trying to do this job without having to re time it.
