how do you release the spare tire on 2004 chevy trailblazer?

I have followed all the directons and still it won't release.

I just tried to put my spare on my 2003 trailblazer today!

You are probably doing it right, the crank to release the tire is probably rusted like mine was. If you take it to tire warehouse or muffler man or wherever they will lube it up and get it off for you

kick the damn thing, as long as the cable dropped and corrosion or stuff from the road should clear up.
